Try out throwing, modelling and discover your artistic side…
The experience days are for anyone who has always wanted to have a go at pottery or for those who have tried it before, but would like to give it another go. Pottery can be both relaxing and therapeutic, as well as hugely enjoyable!
What you can expect…
You'll receive individual guidance in a small pottery studio with all materials included. To ensure you make the most out your experience on the day, we don’t run big group sessions or joint experience days. So it really is just you and the pottery.
You can have a go at throwing on the wheel as well as hand building with clay.
Once your pots or models have completely dried out (this can take several days) they will be fired in the kiln for you. You can come back and collect them or we can arrange for them to be sent on to you.
How it works…
Sessions can be either two or three hours long depending on what you would like to do.
Three hour sessions will include a short break for tea & coffee.
Or you can book a whole day: three hour morning and a further two hours in the afternoon to spend more time working on your pieces.
All work is usually ready to collect within 4 - 6 weeks and includes clays, glazes and firings – but excludes postage and packaging.
Had an amazing time at Woodside Pottery, very relaxed atmosphere and Grazyna was very patient and knowledgeable. We even got treated to a slice of homemade Christmas cake :-) Overall it was a brilliant experience! Thanks.
